Jeffersonville, IN Jeffersonville, IN Part-time Part-time $22 an hour $22 an hour Safe Place is a national youth outreach and prevention program for young people in need of immediate help and safety.
As a community-based program, Safe Place designates businesses and organizations as Safe Place locations, making help readily available to youth in communities across the country.
Locations include:
libraries, YMCA's fire stations, public buses, various businesses, and social service facilities.
We're hiring a Safe Place Coordinator.
Our Safe Place Coordinator position is a part-time, 20 hour per week position.
The Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance of business sites, conduction of presentations, etc.
Other items the Coordinator is responsible for can include, but is not limited to:
1.
Along with the Assistant Director develops and maintains effective goals and objectives for the Safe Place program.
2.
Develops and maintains ongoing promotion, public relations, marketing, and fund-raising efforts as they relate to the Safe Place program.
3.
Locates and secures business sites for Safe Place locations in Clark and Floyd Counties.
4.
On an annual basis monitors all existing business sites.
5.
Maintains accurate records essential for control, evaluations, and reporting for the program.
6.
Conducts educational presentations to students and adults in the community.
7.
Ensure compliance with all state and national regulations regarding the Safe Place program.
8.
Budget management to ensure expenditures are within established limits.
Knowledge and Skills:
Must be at least 21 years of age, with a Bachelor's degree in human services, public relations, communications, or a related field Human relation skills in understanding, developing, and motivating people are critical.
Ability to effectively relate to motivating people is critical.
Ability to effectively relate to city and county government officials, school personnel, juvenile court and social service agency personnel, and the civic/business community in order to interpret and promote the work of the Clark County Youth Shelter & Family Services, Inc.
and Safe Place.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
