Summary:

The Network/Data Specialist will be responsible for assisting and performing the administration of a network environment of 40
mostly virtualized servers at multiple locations utilizing MS Windows, Cisco, VMware and other high level technologies. This person will also manage numerous company databases and provide reporting from those databases. In a small department environment, this position will require assisting with all
information technology
responsibilities and department personnel. This position coordinates with all departments, locations, and levels of the organization including external customers.

Responsibilities:
Assists and performs administration of all aspects of network management including all hardware and software, VMware infrastructure, VMware VDI, Cisco network infrastructure, server infrastructure, VPN, licensing, Active Directory, user accounts, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, upgrades and patches, routine and preventative maintenance, network monitoring, troubleshooting, system documentation, and hardware and software purchasing.
Assists with and performs administration of all network security, including file security, network monitoring, firewalls, VPN, wireless, etc.
Investigates and recommends technology options.
Recommends hardware, software and general technology purchases.
Works directly with outside vendors and contractors for equipment purchase and project coordination.
Creates ad hoc and company reports using MS SQL Query, SSRS and Crystal Reports.
Supports telephony, including IP phone systems and cell phones.
Performs all other aspects of network administration as required.
Assists personnel of other departments as a
computer
resource.
Gives secondary support for desktop hardware and software.
Works as a team member with other technical staff, such as networking to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
Works successfully with little supervision.
Independently solves problems by exploring alternatives and selecting the appropriate solution.

Minimum Requirements:
Education:
o Bachelor?s degree in Information Technology related field or Associates degree and combined work experience.
Current MCSE certification or proven equivalent.
Current MS SQL administration experience.
VMware VCA-DCV certification or proven equivalent

Experience:
o Certification or proven experience with: Windows server 2000, 2003, 2008; 2012, MS Exchange 2007 or 2010; Active Directory; MS SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008, 2012; SSRS, VMware 5.x; VMware VDI, Backup Exec; Crystal Reports; anti-virus; wireless technology and security; Windows desktop operating systems; MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
o Ability to install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot networks and network equipment, personal computers, and related hardware and software, ability to learn and support new systems and applications, knowledge of network and computer security procedures and protocol, ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions, and ability to negotiate hardware/software service and technical support contracts with vendors.
o Minimum 4 - 5 years? experience in a business environment
o Strong interpersonal skills
Special Skills/Job Knowledge/Abilities:
o Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously; highly developed verbal and written communications, including ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel; motivated, self-starter with the ability to perform duties with minimal supervision; able to work evenings and weekends in response to needs of the systems being supported; and ability to travel.
o Extensive knowledge and experience with VMware configuration, implementation and management; Cisco router, firewall wireless and switch configuration, implementation and troubleshooting; Windows networking, infrastructure design and implementation, and troubleshooting; VPN configuration and administration, Server implementation and management. SAN Storage Design, implementation and management.
Additional Information Relevant to This Position: The following are helpful but not required:
o Network Security Certification, Cisco certification CCENT or CCNA, Cisco routers, switches, and firewall experience, CRM system certification or experience, ERP management experience, Manufacturing environment experience, Project management or implementation experience, iSCSI experience, EMC equipment experience, Enterprise Vault experience, SAP experience, SAN and NAS experience and IP phone systems experience.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
