Job Description/Job Duties: Our client is looking for a rock star Enterprise Architect to join their growing team. The Enterprise Architecture group exists to facilitate the alignment of enterprise capabilities with business strategies and drive efficiency and flexibility across the organization with consistent patterns, processes, and technologies. As an Enterprise Architect, you would work with leaders and stakeholders across the organization to keep abreast of business strategy and provide direction on initiatives, keeping them in line with target and reference architectures that you maintain.
Our client takes a results-oriented approach to Enterprise Architecture and is seeking a professional that can contribute to growing an effective and pragmatic discipline with clear value to its stakeholders.
As an EA in Jeffersonville, you are focused on and have EA ownership over the client?s servicing and sales systems.
Other responsibilities may include:
Working with leaders across the organization to understand business strategies, direction, and identify needs
Capturing, maintaining, and publishing business, information, and technical architecture artifacts
Development of reference architectures, standards, and guidelines leveraged across the organization
Development of target architectures and transition plans
Participating in M&A and partnership evaluations
Leading or participating in enterprise vendor, technology, and tool selection
Engaging with enterprise project and portfolio management processes to evaluate opportunities and provide guidance on initiatives
Facilitating complex design and technical discussions, reconciling differing opinions and driving the decision making process
Presenting architectural decisions and proposals to stakeholders to explain how business strategy alignment is satisfied
Collaborating with solution architects, IT leadership, and delivery teams to ensure alignment with target and reference architectures, provide guidance, solicit feedback, and identify enterprise IT needs
Proposing the development of enterprise IT assets and services for use across business units
Performing in a solution architect capacity for enterprise initiatives driven by EA
Providing subject matter expertise and assessments to business stakeholders
Contributing to the growth and maturity of EA processes as the discipline evolves
Monitoring key EA and technology trends and industry standards

Qualifications:

total years of professional Enterprise Architecture experience

total years of professional Application, Systems, Solutions, or Enterprise Architecture experience
Extensive experience developing architectural models with depth in one or more of the sub-disciplines of business architecture, information architecture and application/technical architecture and breadth across all disciplines
Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and reasoning skills
Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience with Enterprise Architecture tools and frameworks
Experience with mission critical, multi-tenant, multi-tier application architectures
Experience with product evaluations and selection, buy-or-build
Leadership skills to indirectly drive cross-functional teams towards common solutions
The ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Strong understanding of messaging, MOM, SOA, ESB, and EAI principles and patterns
Message-oriented middleware experience (TIBCO, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, protocols, messaging models)
Working knowledge of Web Services, SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, and interface design
Working knowledge of cloud service delivery models, in particular SaaS and PaaS
Experience working within Agile development methodologies
